Long days with my old Samsung laptop is finally over...

It's been a while since I didn't make any new Blogspot posts lately, so I decided to tell you about what was going on with me with that cheap Samsung laptop that I bought from almost 8 years ago. That cheap laptop worked just fine, until all of it's own flaws that I encountered in last few years of service. Until in the late of 2020, that old laptop just went wrong with it's own screen that looked like this:

White screen...

Yes... White! White! And again, WHITE! That's how my old laptop's screen would actually look like as of today. Before I'm gonna tell you about the problem itself, let's take a retrospect about this old laptop that I got from almost 8 years ago until that problem occurred. Here's my story about it, right away:

1. General 💻

In case you've wondering about the brand and the model of the particular laptop that I bought from a local electronic store in around 8 years ago, it's just a Samsung with model number is 300E4V-A01 (according to it's own box), yet it has it's own respective specifications that mentioned below here:

• Processor: Intel Celeron 847 ("Celery!"-Garret Claridge)
• Screen size: 14"
• RAM: Only 2 GB
• Storage: 320 GB of HDD
• Color: Black

I bought this laptop from back then in order to replace my very first laptop that I ever owned, which was that Acer Aspire 47xx laptop with Intel Pentium processor on it. That laptop got it's own weird problem, such as constant BSODs that occurred many times, yet it's own BSOD itself only lasted just few seconds before it shuts itself off every time, instead of stayed there like it should be until I simply remove the battery or unplug it off... I also felt guilty at that time for buying it instead of fixing the Acer, it's definitely due to that Acer was fixable yet upgradeable, since there were no physical damage on itself from what one of the sellers in the electronic store told me in order to do so. Unfortunately though, I took another way to solve that problem by simply exchanged it with the cheap Samsung laptop with weak "Celery!" processor for roughly almost the same price as that Acer that I bought it back in 2009 from the same electronic store.

2. Performance and results 💻

In the early days of me with this laptop, it performed just exactly the same like my old Acer, except with minor differences. One of the main examples is the way how it's own audio enhancements has an additional feature called SoundAlive, while the Acer didn't (or did it though). Other than that, here are my lists about performance and results about my old Samsung laptop through the years since I bought it until it broke in the late of 2020.

• It has Windows 7 64-bit version installed on this laptop, which sounded a bit overkill to me. Because it has a 2 GB of RAM, this and my old Acer didn't do any multitasking with ease.
• Playing any audio files on it is fine, no matter what kind of audio programs that I open on it.
• Playing any video files is okay, but it does stutter while tried to play any videos that has 720p video quality or higher.
• Typing or making any Office related stuffs (such as documents in Microsoft Office Word, presentations in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, and so on) is on and off. Sometimes any of the programs in there just crashed by itself, even they're just 2007 versions that installed on there (well, at least they had an autosave feature when it occurs).
• Editing photos with certain programs (such as PhotoScape, Adobe Photoshop, and so on) is also on and off. While most of them do work decently, but on the other hand, sometimes they also tend to crash while it's running on most of the time.
• Video editing on it was absolutely terrible. Because it had really weak "Celery" processor and RAM that it had, that's obviously why. I tested the VSDC on it, and it performs... really poorly on it, and it actually wanted to crash it while it's running.
• Playing games on it is okay. However, there were good old 64 GameHouse games in it, which most of them wouldn't work for Windows 7 or newer anyway. I played some good old games on it, such as Plants vs. Zombies (of course), Puzzle Express, Airstrike (Divo Games), Collapse Crunch, or even NES games through a NES emulator program (which was the FCEUX). All of them did work just okay as what I expected.
• I was once installed a Google Earth on it, and it performed just less than decent. It did crashed for multiple times though.
• Browsing anything on it with certain browsers (such as Firefox, Google Chrome) was between on par and subpar sides. Sometimes they tend to crash or gone unresponsive if there are too much background apps running, such as that Avira Antivirus that was once installed on there, which caused the whole system to lag very badly.
• It had a BSOD just once, with code: Kernel Memory In-Page Error. This was occurred due to I tried to play anything with sounds on it, then suddenly the system froze yet it went to the aforementioned BSOD itself. At least the BSOD stayed there until I unplug it off.

3. When it broke...💻

Since this laptop was cheaply made compared to my Acer (I think), it started to come apart by it's own in 2017. Started of by one of it's own hinges is broken by itself. Even though I dropped it by accident wasn't the reason about why it broke, I didn't even know about why it occurred... Then, the damage on it was slowly increased overtime, so I just "fixed" it by taping the broken part on it with bunch of tapes. Again, even with tapes on it, the bottom-left of the bezel also got damaged very easily due to the pressure every time I open and close it. Until in the end of 2020, the damage on the hinge itself was caused the screen went all white by itself. Because of that, I felt so worried for that, yet the fact I also broke my Dell that I mentioned in my aforementioned post of it too in the same year.

4. Tried to repair that s**t... Plus my new replacement... 😁

During that white screen problem occurred, I tried to repair that laptop to 3 different computer repairmen. First, it was one of my old neighborhoods, then followed by the same computer repairmen who tried to fix my Dell, and another computer repairmen who works outside my hometown. Unfortunately, NONE of them dared to repair it due to severe damage that it had. Here are the reasons why:

• One of my neighborhood simply refused to repair it due to severe damage that it had, even I waited for at least a week to do so.
• The same computer repairmen who tried to fix my Dell earlier just refused right off the bat, due to severe damage that it had, again.
• Lastly, another computer repairmen who works outside my hometown. I brought it to a small cell phone store nearest from my current house, and I asked to the owner who have a phone number of the computer repairmen itself by showing the damage of my old laptop that it had through a video call. Then, he brought it into the computer repairmen place itself until they checked the condition of it, and... Bah! They also didn't repair it due to severe damage that it had, once again.

Well, yeah... Double trouble for me! Not only the fact my old Dell laptop broke, I also broke this old Samsung laptop too. Until I decided to buy an actual new laptop from a typical laptop store in my hometown, which is this one!

Yes! It's my brand new laptop... Which is the Lenovo V14-ADA. Although it has really expensive price to buy one right off the bat, I decided to buy it anyway using money installment system for it, until it reaches the total amount of price of it. Here's my specifications of it:

• Processor: AMD Athlon 3020e with Radeon Graphics
• Screen size: 14"
• RAM: 8 GB
• Storage: 256 GB of SSD
• Color: Grey

Although this performs a lot faster than my old Samsung did yet it has newer Windows 10 activated, it did have it's own flaws for a bit, such as connecting into my home Wi-Fi router is tactical. Sometimes it says "No internet access" right after I turned it on, even though my Wi-Fi clearly has it's own internet access (well, if it works though), until I unplug my Wi-Fi router off and plugging it back in for at least 10 seconds. Other than that, it works just well thanks to it's own performance that it has. Right now, I keep searching the simple video editor that almost exactly the same way as the YouCut or Video Guru (both by InShot) would be... 😁

So, what happened to that old Samsung laptop then? Well, I just simply don't do anything to it due to severe damage that it has that caused those three different repairmen were totally refused to repair that messed up thing. I'm going to plan to rescue it's own HDD out to use it as an external HDD, and so for my Dell too (unless the Dell's LCD screen magically works by itself now, but due to it's own flaws that I discovered, so yeah...). And there you have it for my long days with my old Samsung laptop is finally, over... I'm not gonna say anything that much to that old cheap thing, because it's own physical flaws that it has. I know if there were lot of my files and data in there, but whatever... Unless I have an external SATA cable and external HDD's casing in order to do it, so. Anyway, that's it from what I can say to that old Samsung laptop after around 8 years of service with myself from my first time obtained it to the time when it's own LCD screen went all white. Ceiling fans in Plants vs. Zombies shooter games...

I know if I don't have any console or preferred gaming PCs to play those Plants vs. Zombies shooter games, but I do spot certain things besides the gameplay themselves by various gamers on YouTube out there, including the easter eggs. This time, I'm not gonna tell you about certain easter eggs or hidden game mechanics in general, but the ceiling fans that they added in some maps of those Plants vs. Zombies shooter games. Without further ado, here are my short lists about those ceiling fans in Plants vs. Zombies shooter games.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and it's sequel...

• In Suburban Flats multi-game mode map, there's a wooden bladed spinner ceiling fan with light in gazebo near one of the houses. It does resembles to most ceiling fans that are commonly found in Argentina, by the looks of it.
• In Wall-nut Hills Gardens & Graveyards map, exactly located at the second-to-last garden, there are some ceiling fans in each of the gazebos that surrounds the pool and the garden. Hard to tell about what kind of shape on those fans may look like.
• In Cactus Canyon Gardens & Graveyards map, exactly located at the second-to-last garden, there are some ceiling fans inside the resort near the garden itself. Again, hard to tell about what kind of shape on those fans may look like.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville

In Mount Steep free-roam region map, there are two ceiling fans in Z-Tech Oozevoir portion of this map that resembles the airplane's propellers. 

Other fans... 

For a bonus, here are list of fans that aren't ceiling fans that are found in those Plants vs. Zombies shooter games. Here are some fine examples of them:

• Part of the stand fan without it's own stand is found near the Agent Corn himself in his base, exactly on the top of the table right next to him.
• Bunch of 6-bladed axial exhaust fans with one of it's own blades broke off, located in few parts of the sewer in Backyard Battleground, behind the large iron bars. There are also few of the ones that has 2 of it's own blades broke off too.
• Generic exhaust fans that are encountered in buildings of certain maps on those Plants vs. Zombies shooter games, mainly for Garden Warfare series.

Well, that's what I can say about these ceiling fans (and some other fans) that are encountered in Plants vs. Zombies shooter games that I simply watch any gameplay videos by various gamers on YouTube. There are even more of those, but they are very hard to tell besides the ones that I listed them in here. My experience with Plants vs. Zombies 3...

It's hard to believe if I finally play the latest Plants vs. Zombies game on my current smartphone, Plants vs. Zombies 3. Just like what I did with the previous Plants vs. Zombies games that I play, I will tell you about how's my experience of me playing it, yet how it performs well in my smartphone. Without further ado with them, let's take a look at my experience of me playing it.

1. First encountered it on Google Play...

Unlike the Plants vs. Zombies 2, there were no fake Plants vs. Zombies 3 apps on Google Play, so that was a good sign for me hyped this game before the game itself was launched on the Google Play, unless I downloaded some Plants vs. Zombies clones or rip-offs instead. Not much I can say about it as I downloaded it just properly, until I opened the game itself for very first time.

2. How it loads...

The way about how it loads the loading screen is similar to the previous two Plants vs. Zombies games, except it's possibly the slowest one that I ever encountered (takes around a minute [or two] to load the whole game), unless I also counted the Plants vs. Zombies 2 being loaded on one of my bad Android devices that I used to have (FYI, in my current smartphone, it only takes around 7 seconds to load, sometimes 20 seconds or more). It does load the game every time I open it on my current smartphone, but sometimes it refuses to load which makes me to force close the game then I open it again when that occurs.

3. VERTICAL SCREEN ORIENTATION?! WHAT?!

Yes, in fact! Unlike the previous two Plants vs. Zombies which I used to play them in obvious landscape screen orientation, this game just plays in vertical screen orientation. Because of that, I sometimes feel uncomfortable while playing it, and it still needs both of my hands in order to play and interact with any user interface on it, except it's way worse.

4. Game modes

There are few of the game modes in there, but not as many as the previous two games though. Those are Devour Tower, which basically like an Adventure mode for this game but with that Dr. Zomboss's particular "tower building" involved in order to unlock those areas in the game's map, Breakout (classic game mode of the game itself, including the Brainiac mini-boss battles), and Arena (Player vs. Player mode). There's also a built-in chat room in this game as well, which also has an ability to donate seed packets between players as well (although nobody in this game did that yet, including myself).

5. Game mechanics

One of the most noticeable game mechanics that I ever seen on this game is how that particular Sunflower produce 3 sun costs overtime. I still prefer the good old way to produce sun as much as possible in previous two games, because I found out if this particular game mechanic is slightly harder to deal in certain levels with certain difficulties, for example, higher Devour Tower floors or most Breakout events. Not only just that, there are few more of the game mechanics that this game has, there are few more of those, such as the Plant Food, Tacobility (happens every time between two stages of every gameplay by powering up 3 of the plants with the said ability, or put them on the seed packets or add 1 sun cost on the Sunflower's meter just like the Plant Food), and so on.

6. 3D graphics...

Unlike the previous two games, this one has 3D graphics, which sounds a little iffy to me. I also still prefer the standard 2D versions just like the previous two games, but it's still okay to me. However, it also has it's own small problem as well on my current smartphone as well, relating to this feature. Apart from slight lag that always happens on most of the game modes, sometimes the game just crashes on me every time I begin the gameplay itself, but like Plants vs. Zombies 2 that I experienced with my current device itself, it rarely happens as of nowadays. Or, on the most cases, some sort of server error that happens on this game as well.

7. Pay-to-Win

Heh... This game is also no exception for including the Pay-to-Win feature (except for the original game), thanks to the EA... Although it's not as bad as the Plants vs. Zombies 2 which has a LOT of them, but still... I don't bother to buy anything on it due to I obviously don't have any credit cards or certain payment methods that I've must deal them into.

8. Conclusion

Although this Plants vs. Zombies game isn't the one that I expected due to the way how it looks, plays, and performs, but it does entertain me just okay. Not as much like what I did with the original game back in 2012, or the Plants vs. Zombies 2 back in 2014 with all of bad things happened to it (including the actual game itself on my bad Android device that I used to have in those days), but then again, it hyped me just okay until I discovered few of the flaws that this game has. One of the most noticeable one is being the vertical screen orientation. Sometimes I feel so uncomfortable while playing it, and it still needs both of my hands to interact anything on the game's user interface itself... Speaking about the overall gameplay of this game, I must completely GRIND levels of my plants that I have through certain game modes like Breakouts, just like all of my plants in Plants vs. Zombies 2 against most of it's own extreme difficulty game modes, including most Penny Pursuit's levels with buffed zombie's strengths. Because if I don't, I always overwhelmed so easily on higher floors of Devour Tower if I don't prepare my plants with stronger power than the zombie's team power on those Devour Tower floors... Overall, this game isn't the one that I expected due to somebody out there said if this game is like a rip-off from some Supercell mobile games, but still, it does entertain me just okay with all of this game's flaws that it has.

Anyway, that's it from what I can say to my experience with this Plants vs. Zombies game that I recently play. I'm sorry if I don't seem to play this game quite often, unlike the previous two games that I ever played before, hence why I don't tell anything detail about this game in here. Did you ever burn out some fans?

Yes... That's what the title of this post said, did I ever burn out some fans? From what I remembered on my own brain, obviously yes. There were 2 noticeable occurrence about me suddenly burned out some fans while they were running like usual, one of them was from my mini portable fan collection. Without further ado with them, let's take a look at my 2 aforementioned stories about how I did burned out those fans by itself.

First off, back in around of 2011 (I think), I visited one of my old neighbors house, and there was a vintage Sanyo? desk fan in it. Although everything was normal during I tried to mess around with it by simply moving it into another spot, suddenly the fan produced some burning smells, and it actually released some smokes out of the fan itself and sprayed it straight into my face. After that occurred, obviously it popped the whole house's circuit breaker, and everybody in that house were panicking due to how I burned out the fan itself... Thankfully, the fan itself didn't set ablaze even more during the burnout happened, so they decided to trash it away after all of that... From what I remembered about why it occurred, probably due to it only had 110v of voltage (which meant it was connected to step-down transformer from 220v to 110v all the time), but I stupidly plugged it directly into a 220v wall outlet, which was obvious about why I burned it out.

Secondly, this was occurred on one of my mini portable fans that I have. The one that got burned out is the AC powered ventilating fan that I used to have, and it was branded Matsuviva. I even recorded both original and remake YouTube fan videos of it back in 2014 and 2015, although you couldn't even see any better look of my original video of it, due to how I stupidly record videos in potato quality of my old Samsung Galaxy Y phone in those days... During I suddenly burned it out, I was stupidly had fun by playing around with it due to some boredom that happened to me. Then, it produced some burning smells, then POP! The fan just stopped working due to the sudden pop'n sparky burnout that suddenly occurred, yet it also popped my whole house's circuit breaker. After that happened, since it wasn't working anymore, I obviously trashed it away, and that's it.

There are even more of how I suddenly burned out some fans too, but I couldn't tell anything detail about more of them, because most of them weren't technically "burned out" or something other that weren't just typical fan burnouts, such as loose wire connections, bad capacitor, bad bearings, and so on. Anyway, that's it from my short story about how I did burn out some fans that I encountered, and hope you can pay attention about this post.

The unexpected destruction of KFC Plants vs. Zombies toys...🔨❓

Some of you may obviously recognize my story about those KFC Plants vs. Zombies toys in my old friend's house back in July 2014 in few of the posts that I posted somewhere in this Blogspot, so this time I'm gonna tell about this story again... Except this time, I'm gonna tell you about the unexpected destruction that they did to those KFC Plants vs. Zombies toys. Again, this story will be almost exactly the same plot about how it happened back then... Without further ado with them, let's throwback about this short story about how they destroyed those KFC Plants vs. Zombies toys.

Obviously, in my very first Blogspot post that I made here, I also mentioned those particular Plants vs. Zombies toys in that house. Before I encountered them, I obviously didn't have any Plants vs. Zombies collectible stuffs in the meantime before I found them. Then, during I encountered them, I was so excited by borrowed one of them home for fun until 3 months later... After 3 months of fun with it, I decided to return it back to the owner. Unfortunately though, their children were heavily upset by how I borrowed one of them, and ended up destroying them into pieces.

From what my old friend's house told to me right after they destroyed them, they destroyed them by slammed them down from the balcony of their 2-story house that they lived in. Since I didn't even see it directly about how they destroyed them, I have no idea about how they smashed them like that into pieces... They obviously were highly furious about how I borrowed one of those toys, and ended up did so without any expectation that I predicted just before. Meanwhile, I was really stupid enough in order to find them by visiting a scrapyard. Not for searching some fans (such as ceiling fans and portable fans [mainly vintage ones]) that were scrapped in that particular scrapyard, but for searching some pieces from those KFC Plants vs. Zombies toys that they destroyed for some stupid reason that I couldn't even tell it to you at all... So yeah, even though this post is clearly focused on the unexpected destruction of those KFC Plants vs. Zombies toys, I couldn't remember any detail information about the particular action that they did to those toys, so. 

So there you have it, for my short story about why they destroyed those Plants vs. Zombies in their 2-story house where they lived in. Again, I had no clue about why they did them just out of my expectation there after I borrowed one of them for 3 months... Anyway, that's it from what I can say about this story that I made here to those toys that obviously were gone since then, and hope you can pay the attention about this story.

Electric fans in abandoned places (part 4)

Again, yet another batch of YouTube videos of electric fans (mainly ceiling fans) in abandoned places, taken by several urban exploration YouTubers... Without further ado with them, let's take look at yet even more of YouTube videos of electric fans (mainly ceiling fans) in abandoned places.

Started off by this abandoned nursing home here, there's an industrial ceiling fan at 8:35. Unfortunately, there's no focused look at the ceiling fan itself though.

Then, in this abandoned musicians house here, there's a 36" bottom-mount spinner ceiling fan with schoolhouse light-kit at 5:42.


Then, in this abandoned farmhouse here, there's this vintage ceiling fan with badly bent down blades (thank goodness, this video's thumbnail just featured this fan directly). Shown on the video itself at 3:30.


Now, here's the interesting one... This is one example of an urban exploration video that was taken by that Australian stuff destruction YouTuber who smashes a lot of things with his golf clubs, which was inspired by that guy called smashstuffs30 (or definitely known as TheOriginalHDChannel, according to the story about why he inspired it by making many of his own stuff destruction videos)... In this abandoned house here that he took, there's a typical Australian spinner ceiling fan with 3-arm light kit at 0:27.



Then, in this abandoned house here, there's a white 36" spinner ceiling fan at 3:39. Notice there's a (maybe) bird nest stuck at one of the blades.


Not as exciting as the other videos, this house has typical selection of modern Canadian and American ceiling fans inside, even one of them has it's own light kit's shade just dangling like that. Shown at 6:54, 10:03 (there are two of them), and 11:12 (the one with dangling light kit's shade). There's another ceiling fan in the purple room of this house, but unfortunately there's no better look of that one.


Then, in this abandoned vintage house here, there's a vintage Sanyo? desk fan inside some sort of kitchen of this house.


Again, not as exciting as the other videos, just another selection of typical modern American  ceiling fans inside this semi-deluxe abandoned house here. Some of them aren't shown clearly though, especially one (or probably two or more) of them which isn't (or aren't) shown at all.



Then, in this really trashed abandoned car dealership here, there's a ceiling fan that survived through the destruction of the ceiling itself, shown at 7:20.


Then, in this abandoned trailers here, there are pair of 42" (?) 4-bladed ceiling fans inside, being one of them has an integrated light-kit. You probably can't see them both clearly on the first video, but you can see them both clearly on the second video, being this guy spun one of the fans with his hand, yet that fan has it's own bearings just stiff, judging by how it halts quite quickly on that one.



Then, in this abandoned house here, there's a 36" bottom-mount spinner ceiling fan installed above the stairway, at 4:35.


Then, in several of empty store malls here, there are bunch of ceiling fans inside few of the stores. Shown at 2:49, 5:27, 7:10, 7:34, and 7:38.


Lastly, in this enormous 19th century religion school here, there's a 42" bottom-mount spinner ceiling fan with cane blades at 2:43.

"Wanna be friends?"

"Don't trust with X (name of the bot YouTube users), they're scammer"-Lachlan Potts

Yes... This is literally what I have seen on YouTube recently, including many of the YouTubers around the world. In case you've wondering, this comment was posted BUNCH, BUNCH, BUNCH, and again, BUNCH of times by those unknown users, yet they known them as a bot. At first glance, I thought they were just a normal YouTube comments like usual, but turned out if most of the YouTubers discovered them if they were actually bot users who hacked any YouTubers, even with millions of subscribers that they hacked too. For example, every time I upload a new video, those users always comments as soon as possible. I know if they praised me in the comments section as a bait like "Loved it", "Wanna be friends?" like this post's title said, or other else that they always scam on me... But nope! Instead of me rambling about this like nothing, let's prove this big problem by explanation by one of these YouTubers who investigates them, right here:

Yeah... Those bot users literally hacked thousand of channels around YouTube like what this guy said in this explanation video right on the top here... I have no idea why this some sort of mega exaggerated cyber crime happens, but those users were hacked through different bot usernames. From that video above here that he explained was the Logan one, then followed by Tom, Ted, Music, Song, Liam, Huddy, Bananarama, and the one that I took my own screenshot of it, which was the Olivette as for nowadays. I simply IGNORE them in order NOT to being hacked by those bots, but yeah, as long as they keep commenting every time I upload a new video, it's fine, I simply NOT respond them AT ALL, apart from me reporting them as an unwanted spams... If you want to ask to me about this mega serious problem that always happens on the YouTube platform lately, please let me know about the additional information about this in the comments section below here. Anyway, that's it from what I can say about this "Wanna be friends?" mega serious problem that recently happens on YouTube platform, and hope you can pay this attention against those bot users that you MUST get rid all of them away, so be VERY careful.
