You probably remember the time when I used to own both of those following π»s before I own my current one (Lenovo), which those were both 13" Dell and Samsung, respectively... Since both of them were no longer work properly, I decided to take each of their own hard disk drives from them both in order to retrieve MANY of my old archived files from it. However, they both suddenly had their own problem where I was attempted to connect them to my current π» using the USB SATA cable, therefore I no longer able to retrieve ALL of my old archived files from them both anymore. Without further ado, let me explain both of those hard drives that came from both of those old π», right away.
A. Western Digital 500 GB (13" Dell)
Started off with this particular Western Digital 500 GB one. This was the one that originally came with that ancient 13" Dell π» that I stupidly wasted a lot of bucks from 6 years ago. At first glance, it worked reasonably fine, including by how I connected to my current π» using the SATA USB cable roughly after a while later since the Dell's LCD backlight screen died. However, somewhere in the last year, it suddenly ran into a problem where it simply bogged down for a whole lot, which caused it painfully slow to load everything on my current π»'s screen, specifically on the Windows Explorer. I tried many ways in order to fix it, but it barely did anything. Right now, I still keep it despite the current state that it has, but I don't think if I eventually decide to plug it on my current π» though for the umpteenth time.
B. Toshiba 320 GB (Samsung)
And then, there's this particular Toshiba 320 GB, which originally came from my old Samsung that I purchased back in 2013 (which also replaced my very first laptop, which was that Acer, though the condition of that Acer was okay apart from that weird BSOD itself which I already explained in some of my older Blogspot articles before)... Right after the original LCD screen itself went all white (which was unrepairable, with how the screen's bezel itself was also broken on one of the hinges), I decided to take the hard disk drive itself out from it and connected it to my current π» using the SATA USB cable, though I had a lot of "effort" for removing it from my old π»'s hard disk drive's slot thanks to all of those screws that originally screwed it in there. Similarly to that Western Digital one, it used to work reasonably okay, either during the old π» that used to equip it was working on it's own for years, or during I connected it to to my current π» using the SATA USB cable...... until it suddenly ran into a problem in similar fashion to that Western Digital too, except it now no longer getting recognized with my current π». During it occurred, I was attempted to check ALL of my old archived files on it, and then Windows Explorer on my current π» suddenly froze instead. Instead of restarting the Windows Explorer during it was in "Not Responding" state, I stupidly unplug the hard drive itself RIGHT in that exact state❗ Because of that, it simply no longer getting recognized with my current π». I tried many ways in order to fix it, but it obviously didn't do anything at all, yet it also makes some weird ticking noises from it too when this occurred.
(notice for how severely crooked the π»'s screen is...)
Well then, there you have it for both of those old π» hard disk drives that were once worked, but now both of them have their problems that I couldn't even fix them purely by myself. If you know about how to repair them (though it's nearly impossible to fix them both), please let me know particularly about it in the comments section if you're able to. That's basically it for what I could particularly say about this, and pay attention when it comes to treating one of those old physical storage devices like those, otherwise they will end up like both of those that I mentioned there.
Being an electric fan enthusiast in general, I also somehow interested with any of mini portable fans that I encountered, ranging from regular mini portable fans that are commonly seen at any online marketplaces (or even offline marketplaces), until all the way to certain mini portable fans that they do look so "cool"... I mean, yes I encountered those of the said mini portable fans that are so "cool", it's because the ones that I'm specifically talking about in this particular article are the ones that they always call them as a "mini air cooler" units, literally. You probably think if most of those so-called "mini air coolers" do work better than regular mini portable fans? Here is my hint particularly about them: NO! Well, it's time to find out about why, particularly about my own story about experience of using one of those "mini air cooler" units, until I decided to gave up using it anymore. ❄
1. Purchasing the aforementioned unit...❄
Before I purchased one of those units from an online marketplace, I actually watched bunch of those reviews particularly about those little units from various YouTubers. In the meantime before I purchased one of those units, there were 2 variants of themselves, and they both were manufactured and distributed under their "Arctic Air" so-called brand names on both of them. One of them was the original unit, and the other one was the "Ultra" version of it too. So, without any hesitation about which one that I would purchase, I chose the "Ultra" version by spending almost 6 bucks for it including shipping fee. After I waited for almost a week of delivery, a courier sent me the aforementioned package that contained it inside. ❄
2. Unboxing...❄
Upon I unboxed it, it turned out if I actually received a knock-off version of it, judging by how the box itself looked so different compared to their OEM versions of themselves (which I didn't even surprise me that much, because majority of the people in our country who also owns those little units are also received the same knock-off versions of themselves, even most of them had their brand names of themselves are different)... It also had a different style of the filter container as well, because the OEM version of them had more detailed looking container, meanwhile for the one that I received just simply had dull looking appearance of it. It even also had broken adjustable vanes on it too, but I was able to fix them just π... Those minor problems aside, I decided to power it for the first time using it's own proprietary USB cable that came with it by simply connecting it on one of my phone chargers, then pressing the power button itself. At first glance, I thought it wouldn't work at all which resulting in waste of the said bucks over it, it actually worked just fine after I waited for few seconds right after I plugged it on one of my phone chargers that I have. However, if I left it plugged in for too long, my phone charger eventually warmed up, yet it warmed slightly more than powering majority my regular mini portable fans that I own using it. ❄
3. The "air cooling" feature...❄
Since this particular unit had an "air cooling" feature, I decided to pour some water and ice cubes on the water tank of the unit itself. Of course it dripped to the bottom part of the unit itself, that's literally because there was a tiny hole that literally presented inside the tank itself, so I had some DIY stuff by covering it with some "tapes" and superglue, and it did work just okay even if there were even more of the drips though... As for the so-called "air cooling" feature that it had, it literally sprayed out all of the water and ice cubes through that little misting component, then it sprayed out with a bit of help from that 12v/DC cooling fan that came with it in order to blow all of that moisture out from the unit itself through the filters and all of those adjustable vanes. This was also the turning point about how I finally realized if I found out the actual truth particularly about how "cool" it was. ❄
To begin with, unlike my mini portable fans that they do simply work like it should with their own fan blades that it had, it almost barely blow any air delivery, even if I put some water and ice cubes on it's own water tank, unless if I had to stand or sit right next to it approximately less than few centimeters away from the unit itself, especially during if I sweated for a whole lot... Furthermore, the way how they put that 12v/DC cooling fan inside it also made it sounded so loud, more so than average mini portable fans that I own. Encased inside cheap plastic box also made it even more "cooler" than how it would perform, because the cooling fan itself ran slower as you would expect, even if I tried to run it on full speed all the time... Moreover, even if it had a little misting component in order to spray all of that water and ice cubes out from the tank, it also didn't seem that powerful enough for cool down anything after few centimeters away (unless if the misting component itself was placed in front of the unit itself like most of the other models of those mini "air cooler" things)... It even also a complete waste of certain stuffs as well, especially the way how it emptied out all of the water from it's own water tank already, so I had to serve even more water and ice cubes if that occurred to "cool" it more, it literally because it did NOT have an evaporating component AT ALL. ❄
4. Final times with it...❄
After a while I used it as an underpowered daily beater since I purchased it, it eventually ran into a major problem where it's own USB proprietary cable got eaten by stupid mice. So, that was basically it, even if I clearly promised in the outro part of my YouTube video of me unboxing the whole unit itself in order to make my additional demonstration of it about how it performs "cooler" with water and ice cubes in it... That simply concluded if I totally failed to make my aforementioned video about it in general, which also resulting it in a short hiatus for not using it for few moments later, until I decided to buy some proprietary USB cables from an online marketplace. ❄
Upon I powered it back up, I noticed if it ran way slower than before, even if I didn't bother to put water and ice cubes on it. This was also the time if I decided to tear the whole thing apart, and I messed around with that little PCB module that was located just beneath those speed indicator lights, power button, and light button to turn on and off colorful LED light that was located right behind the water tank itself... I decided to mess around the module itself to make the fan itself run faster by powering it directly using 12v/DC adapter, but it ended up causing the module itself just warmed a lot quicker than usual 5v/DC ones that it originally had. Not too long after I did so, I eventually "powered" it again, except I did that into some sort of inverter component that causing the whole module itself shorted, thus completely killed the whole module itself. Even if I killed the said module, I was able to salvage the 12v/DC cooling fan that came with it, it did work just fine with the 12v/DC adapter, albeit it also caused the fan itself to warm up so quickly as well. Not too long after I successfully powered it, the instant karma suddenly occurred on me due to the fact I accidently broke one of the blades after I accidently made it fell near to the heavyweight marble tissue tray that is placed on the top of my living room's table! So that was it, no more purpose of using it anymore after I broke it off, even if I tried to "fix" it, but it obviously didn't work at all... As for what's left from the unit itself, I got rid all of those plastic pieces by smashing them to bits, then I also set them ablaze as well. Even if I got rid all of those pieces, I actually salvaged all of those screws that used to hold the cooling fan itself though before I got rid them, except for one of them that was badly rusted. With all of that final riddance, that was the complete end of me using the unit itself in general. ❄
That concludes about my experience with that so-called "mini air cooler" unit. I don't think if I can get another one of those little units that is way better than that, it's because I already found the actual truth if it didn't seem to work as what they "advertised", specifically for those of the cheaper variants of themselves. Even if I no longer own it anymore, I did some in-depth research about how "cool" those little units are from various YouTubers, and they also realized if those little units are suck balls... Anyway, back to the unit itself that I got rid of. Waste of money, waste of resources, and waste of all of my useless efforts in order to make it "cooler", but it turned out if it led to even more "cooler" problems that caused it stopped working afterwards. So, that's particularly it for what I could say to this overall experience with one of those so-called "mini air cooler" units... Lesson learned: just get regular mini portable fans or just simply get one of those DC cooling fans for much cheaper price. If you really want to cool down your room, just buy and install an actual air conditioner if you're able to. Or, you can make your own homemade air cooler that probably works better than one of those little units out there.
Well then, that's it for what I told about my overall experience with one of those little units, and pay full attention when you will eventually deal with one of those things out there. ❄

As every wise people said, yes, that's basically the one and the only sentence that is related to what I'm explaining on this particular article this time, which is literally explaining about any kind of scams that I literally fell for each of them, mainly for the ones that I simply lost my money over those scammers... I already explained about few of the scams that I exposed from my two separate article that I made just earlier. Now, I think it's time for me to reveal more of the scams that I also experienced from the past (including the ones that I already exposed from my previous articles about them), yet I will reveal the initial names of each of the culprits who scammed myself in each of the occurrence as well, particularly from the ones that were occurred from our country. Without further ado, let's take a look at my overall summary of what kind of scams that I fell on each of them, shall we?
1. Investment scam...πΈ
Courtesy: Freepik.com
Culprit name: B-L (which technically it was one of the fake B-L accounts that I encountered on Instagram)
This was technically my first scam that I ever experienced, which was I got scammed by a random investment scam by one of those counterfeit Instagram accounts that was technically a fake account nicknamed of that one popular entrepreneur in our country, which was B-L... I discovered this particular account due to the fact my mom literally pointed at this particular account in order to solve certain financial problems that we both were dealing in those times, then we both decided to take some calls with the fake B-L. Then, he decided to do some "rules" in order to do his own f****** thing by transferring approximately around IDR 700.000 to him. After I transferred that particular amount of money that I transferred into him yet I had some conversation between myself and him through the chat, and of course you probably guessed it... He literally blocked us right after few moments later! So, that was it, and obviously there was no way to track that particular scammer anymore.
2. Scammed again over a steal price of a "mega" fancy π»...πΈ
Culprit name: M-I-M (which basically it was one of the counterfeit Instagram online marketplace account who "sells" certain devices [i.e. flagship π±, π», π·, etc.])
As what I explained in one of the said post that literally explained about this particular scam, I literally fell for this particular scam due to my native stupidity that I did in those times, yet this was occurred by myself during the time that particular ancient 13" Dell π» that I stupidly bought from a legit online marketplace suddenly had it's own LCD screen died... Well, for some idiotic reason, I literally had an idea by "buying" another "replacement" for it from that one "seller" on Instagram for unbelievably steal price, which was from M-I-M. I literally looked at "her" gallery of what kind of π»s that "she sells", then I decided to "pick" that particular fancy Apple 15" π». Before I "pick" that particular π», I previously looked at various other π»s that "she sells" them online, until I decided to pick that one π» that I previously mentioned earlier... So, I decided to take some chat on M-I-M of certain things related to it, until I transferred approximately around IDR 500.000 to "her" through a someone's bank account instead of "her" name (which sounds like "she" hijacked that particular person's bank account)... After few moments later, I felt something suspicious behind it, because the fact right after M-I-M contacted myself through a chat, "she" said something to myself by contacting another person in order to continue my "order" of that particular π» that I wanted, but of course after M-I-M said so, "she" blocked me yet I simply lost the said amount of money that I transferred into "her"! Well, that concluded if I got scammed by one of those Instagram counterfeit online marketplaces, so I learned the lesson for totally NOT looking at one of those for ever.
During the time I had some conversation between myself and M-I-M, I checked the address of "her store", and it turned out if the address of "her place" itself just led to the empty lawn that was located somewhere in Riau, Indonesia (which was definitely fake as "her" f***)... As for the said scammer itself, yes, it was one of those online bandits that pretended to be an online marketplace who sells certain items (for this case, it was certain electronic devices that I mentioned earlier (i.e. π±, π», π·, etc.), but as soon as you "ordered" one of those items, you ended up in further problem if the item itself that you "ordered" had some issues for certain reasons that they usually tell to you, but of course it's completely NOT true at all (i.e., got stuck in some sort of customs, those items are black-marketed, etc.)...... This particular scammer of the said type wasn't only the one that I got scammed by, it's because the fact I saw another victim who got scammed by another one of those online bandits of the same kind, but under a different "store". He lost his money approximately over IDR 126.000.000!!! Definitely the jackpot for the scammer itself that he stole that much amount of money of what the particular victim itself transferred that amount of money to him!! HOLY F****** S***!!!!!! Not even any cops from our country were able to track down those scammer bandits like this, including myself with that scammer that I got scammed by.
3. Didn't win a giveaway from bunch of those mails...π¨πΈ❓
Culprit name: E-S (a company, but I have no clue whether if this particular company is a legit company or not)
Another sort of scam that I experienced, yet I also explained already in my titular post that explained about this particular occurrence, which was how I didn't win a so-called giveaway that they "promoted" through those mails that I received from that particular company. In order to do it, I had to buy some random cheapo items that were literally costed several times cheaper than what they literally "offered" through every single mails that I received, then I decided to sent them back numerous times to them in order to win it, yet I also transferred a lot of money to them in order to buy every single items that they "offered" through those of the said mails... Until the fact I and my mom wasted a lot of money over this particular crap, so we both decided to stop it, even though they clearly said if we both almost won the grand prize of it.
4. Almost bought the thing that I wanted for much cheaper price, but...
Culprit name: L-J-S
This was occurred from one of the legit online marketplaces that I ever used, because I almost scammed by that one seller who sells one of the things that I wanted (for this case, it was some sort of so-called mini air cooler thing). I looked at the particular thing itself on that particular online marketplace, then I came across one of them that costed WAY cheaper than the average price of the said item that I wanted. So, I had some conversation between myself and that particular seller who sells it nicknamed L-J-S, then I placed an order and paying it using cash-on-delivery system for it... Right after I ordered it, I decided to take a look at the reviews about what kind of the item that he sent to any buyers who bought his items, and I was shocked if this particular seller sent them hisf****** random items instead of what he literally listed for how cheap it was! Then, after few days later, I got a call from a random courier if he delivered the item that I ordered for, but I decided to reject it by simply not receive and pay it for obvious reasons. After that, the thing that I was ordered just went lost, yet his store just gone immediately as well upon this occurred... Well, at least I didn't scam by this one anyway, even if the price of the thing itself was way cheaper than the average cost of the said item itself that I wanted either way.
5. Almost "won" a "giveaway" from a SMS, but...π¨
Courtesy: Freepik.com
Culprit name: Unknown
π, even bunch of the junk SMS in any form of frauds did count for this, because I almost fell for one of those scams if I won a giveaway through a junk SMS that the random scammer sent to me. It literally led to a wacky Blogspot page if I won a "giveaway" from a legit online marketplace, but truly is NOT true at all, it's because NONE of the legit online marketplaces did able to do that either way... Even though I obviously don't care about all of those junk SMS scams in general, I was once almost fell for one of them by simply looking at the wacky Blogspot page itself after I tapped the URL link on the said SMS itself that I received, until I had some conversation between myself and that particular scammer. The scammer itself literally had an obvious rule in order to "win" it, by transferring some money and reloading my phone's credit in order to do so... During the time I reloaded my phone's credit in a small cell phone store nearest from my current home, the owner of the cell phone store itself taught to myself in order to avoid it at all costs. He taught to me right after I almost reloading my phone's credit for approximately around IDR 300.000 for that. So, that saved me from this particular scam, although his workmate of the same cell phone store itself also received the same SMS junk scam if he also won a "giveaway", but he simply ignore it either way, then he deleted it off.
I even received even more of the same junk SMS scams like this (including the investment scams that I mentioned earlier), although I was able to do some conversation between me and any of those anonymous culprits, I annoyed themselves instead in various ways until they just simply blocked me... As of nowadays, I rarely receive any kinds of junk SMS scams like one of those though.
6. Online "affiliating academy" scam...πΈ
Culprit name: K-W-A (an entrepreneur, but I got scammed by the "affiliating academy" website of it)
In order to solve my major financial problems that I dealt in those days, but I just ended up in another scam, although it was possibly the least amount of my own money that I simply lost on it... This was also my second time my mom led to this particular scam without noticing the obvious perilous thing itself in the first place, because she simply shared a video to myself about how to earn money quicker by affiliating something through that "affiliating academy" website authored by that particular entrepreneur, nicknamed K-W-A. I checked a ton of videos of him showing his pride if he literally got a lot of money (I had no clue if it's true or not), and I was simply fell for it........ Until I ran into a problem if I had to follow some rules to do it in the website itself, I must transfer IDR 99.000 to K-W-A's bank account to unlock all of the so-called premium features in there (which I doubt it if it was his real bank account)... Unfortunately though, of course there was NO reaction from it at all if I actually got registered to do it further, even IF I already signed my main Google account on that too! Even if I also tried to transfer that particular amount of my own money to him like thrice times in order to unlock it, but it DIDN'T EVEN WORK!!!F***
Well then, there you have it for my overall summary of the dreaded scams that I experienced, being 4 of them were the ones that I caught by simply losing some of my own money over 4 of those scammers who did so to me... As every wise people said, if there's something that is too good to be true, then it is truly not true at all. Even though I got scammed 4 times like what I clearly stated here, I already learned the lesson for NOT fall for any kind of scams. As always, pay your FULL attention in order to avoid any kinds of scams that may happen sometime in the future, and thanks for reading this mega crucial article.
This time, I will explain about something that was really bad exactly like
what this person showed clearly in this particular video about the device
itself, despite it was clearly a scam that pretended to be the real
deal of it... Speaking about that cheapo device that he "reviewed" there, I
also used to have one of those too, but it was under a different shape yet
it also had the exact same cheap operating system as well like that one that
he clearly showed there. Without further ado about it, let me take a look of
my story about it, yet how I completely gave up using it anymore.
1. First glance of it...
Back in somewhere in 2018, my mom just told me about the "smart" watch
itself that I planned to buy it online. At first glance, I thought I was
like, "Oh... I can't wait to get an Android Wear for such a cheap price!" or
some sentences that sounded quite similarly like that. So, I decided to buy it for
roughly few bucks for it from a somewhere else online (which wasn't from any
legit local online marketplace whatsoever). I waited it for probably 2 weeks
for shipping for it, until I got a mail from a courier that contained the
"smart" watch itself. So, I decided to open it straight away, until some sudden disappointment about it just hit really hard on my face during upon I
unboxed the mail that contained the box of it.
2. Appearance
By the look of it, it was exactly what I suddenly disappointed into,
which the box itself looked so cheap and bashed, until I decided to open
it to reveal even more sudden disappointments of the device itself that I
bought. It contained the "smart" watch itself, short microUSB cable, and
instructions that was written in both Chinese and broken English... Yep,
my disappointment about it was getting worse upon I turned it on (even when it only showed the battery icon during it's charging), but of
course I had to charge it for at least 5 minutes for very first time to
gave it some juice for it (if I guessed that statement right).
Anyway, back to the thing itself. It felt exactly similar to that guy who
reviewed there, cheap and nasty crap, and both of it's own straps were
also felt quite cheap too, but it did it's job just okay. Even though the
one that I got had different shape, but it was basically the same thing
like what he reviewed on that video there as well.
3. Usage and results
First off, you probably think if that thing would work exactly like what
he reviewed there, but NO! It performed way worse as you may
expect. Sometimes if I accidently drop it (but not too high), or I
accidently tap it quite hard (but not too hard), it just simply shuts the
thing itself off. It occurred just almost every single time if I did
either the former or the latter, it kept shutting the thing itself off for
unknown reasons. Maybe because the thing itself wasn't supposed to be
shock-proof? Or device was naturally defective from the factory? Probably
the latter, to be honest.
For the cheap operating system itself, of course I always felt annoying
by that tune every time I turned it on or off, but I did able to disable
it though settings that leaded to it, so. For the rest of the "apps" and
functions of the watch itself, here are the results about them:
First off, the key function about it was obviously the clock itself. It
did work just okay as it was, but of course if I removed it's own
battery then I put it back in, it kept resetting it's own date and time
in very early of 2017.
I didn't bother to send messages through it because not only the fact
it was kind of obsolete in general these days, it was
PAINFULLY difficult to type texts on that tiny touchscreen. That
also occurred during I tried to do certain other things that involved
typing texts on it too.
Using it as a remote Bluetooth media player through an app from my
smartphone's app just worked decently. Even though it's own tiny
speakers didn't sound that great, it did it's job just reasonably
so.
Unlike the "smart" watch that he reviewed in that particular video, it
had a built-in camera. The quality of the pictures that were taken by it
was potato as you expect, yet slightly lower quality than that
Nokia phone that my mom used to have in around 2006 to
2007.
Using it as a remote camera also worked just okay, yet also using the
same app that functions it as a remote Bluetooth media player for
it.
Even though it had those features, it also had another flaws besides that
one major flaw that I mentioned earlier. So, here are some flaws for
it:
Even though it had a camera, it didn't had a feature to record a
video. Probably because the system itself was way too poor to
implement it (unlike those old typical Chinese phones [e.g. my old
D-ONE]), but I obviously don't know.
No default wallpaper on it's own watch face home screen, just plain
pitch black.
It obviously didn't support any pictures or images that had larger
file sizes. That also applied to the certain music files and their
certain file formats of the same size traits too.
Some dud (false option) apps like Facebook, Twitter, and even
Whatsapp that were present on it. I tried to open any of them, but
none of them would do so.
No Wi-Fi, just some obsolete GPRS and WAP connections.
No headphone jack.
4. Final times with it...
With all of it's own features and flaws that it had, it did it's job just okay for certain things, such as remote Bluetooth media player (albeit it's own speakers sounded so tiny), pedometer (which I didn't think if that actually worked), and some other basic stuffs that I could do with it. Until at the end of the day with it, I was having a bad day about why that thing always malfunctioning like so, yet that made it even better because one of it's own straps broke off... During that time I decided to end it's life because how obviously crap it was, I was really mad about how it kept malfunctioning again and again, especially for that one major flaw where it still kept shutting the thing itself off by any certain hits to it, even with one of it's own straps broke off. Well, because of that still existed, I decided to do it even harder by simply drowning it into the saltwater first, but of course I had to rescue the SIM card (if I ever used it to send SMS or other communication stuffs that involved it, otherwise it was so painfully pointless) and the 2 GB microSD card that I used for it, so... After I drowned into the saltwater, the screen suddenly went all white, but for some reason, it didn't shut off if I dropped it or tapped it hard. It also made the thing itself felt a bit warm too during that occurred... Then, I hit the screen really hard until the protective glass got shattered, yet the crappy LCD itself also broken too, even though I obviously couldn't see anything from it anymore because it was shorted with the screen still went white... Finally, I finished the rest of it off by smashing the whole thing into a lot of small pieces yet I burned it too. And that was it, even though I rescued some of what's left from the "stupid" watch itself, I actually kept it's own battery for some reason until it got swollen by itself, which I ended up "hauling" it off later on.
Well, there you have it for my experience with that cheapo "stupid" watch. Exactly what the title of this post says, this was obviously the worst experience of using it, not only the fact it's way too obsolete, it also because it was utterly painful for using it as a sub-daily driver device... This was also definitely the scam almost similarly like what he discovered in that particular there (but under different reason), because I thought it was some sort of cheap Android Wear watch that looked quite unique, but it turned out that was one of those cheapo generic "smart" watch with their own cheap operating systems that they embedded them into that, which didn't work that well... I think that's pretty much it from what I could say to that cheapo crap that I already got rid of, and hope you can pay full attention about what I experienced with that, or even other cheap techs that you may feel often disappointing with any of them, so.
Okay so, let me tell you about something that may feel cringe for you, it's
because this was occurred since somewhere in the last month until today.
It's basically some sort of so-called giveaway that was being held in sake
for an annual promo by that one shady "online" shop by sending them some
physical mails to my mom's name on them in order to win those grand prizes
(including some of their bonus prizes too). But, instead of exactly what I
and she expected about, they kept doing it's own rules by buying their own
cheap, overpriced products 5 times in a row that made both of us wasted our
money really badly... Well, without further ado with this particular
problem, let me tell you about the overall story about why this occurred by
all of the sudden that already wasted her money.
1. First glance_π¨
At first glance, that mail looked exactly what I and my mom would expect,
which was winning their own grand prizes from that "online" shop's annual
promo. FYI, I ever received the same kind of mail from several years ago,
but I didn't even reply it due to I didn't know what kind of procedure in
order to win it by the way... Until somewhere in the last month, we both
decided to follow their own rules that they printed on the sheet of ordering
form that they provided, alongside with the catalog that they sent them to
both of us too. We both decided to buy a small kitchen pan set that costed
around 29 bucks by transferring her money into the company itself, then we
both decided to sent it back using it's own reply envelope that came with it
into the company itself in order to win it through the post office. π€
2. Another mail...π¨
After we both waited for least 2 weeks to send it, apparently they sent
both of us another mail from them if we both would want to win their grand
prize that they provided... Instead, she must buy another item that they
provided on another ordering form that they sent them to both of us,
alongside with another catalog that they provided on them too. Not only just
that, they also sent both of us some sort of certificate if she would won
that grand prize, so I had to save it. Anyway, she decided to buy a stacking
meal basket for around 36 bucks by transferring her money into them, again.
Then, we both decided to sent it back using another one of it's own reply envelope that
also came with it into the company itself in order to win it through the
post office, again. π€
3. Yet another mail...π¨
After 2 days I sent the last mail, they sent both of us yet another
mail from them if we both would want to win their grand prize that they
provided... Instead, she must do another repeating task in order to win it,
even though she already wasted a lot of money from her bank account. The
only difference between last mail that they sent them to both of us; this
time, they also sent both of us a receipt if we both also won a bonus prize,
so I had to save it also. With yet another form and catalog that they
provided, she decided to buy a bros that costed 29 bucks by transferring her money into them, yet again. Then, we both decided to sent it back using yet another one of it's own reply envelope that also came with
it into the company itself in order to win it through the post office, yet
again. π€
4. ANOTHER MAIL! π¨
Again and again, after around 2 days we both sent the last mail, they
sent both of us ANOTHER mail from them we both would want to win their grand prize that they provided...
Instead, they received both of us ANOTHER form and ANOTHER catalog! Even
though she wasted her money even more due to this, she decided to buy some
sort of needle set that also costed 29 bucks by transferring her money
into them, again and again. With ANOTHER repeating task in order to win it
(again), we both also decided to sent it back using ANOTHER one of it's own reply envelope that also came with
itinto the company itself in order to win it through the post office, again and again. π€
5. YET ANOTHER MAIL!! But... π¨
Yet again and again, after few days we both sent the last mail, they sent both
of us YET ANOTHER mail from them if we both almost won their grand
prize that they provided. But, they sent to both of us with
incorrect home address that was printed on the mail
itself, due to the address that they printed on there was my old
home's address, and we both obviously moved into our current home
since several years ago. Things were getting intense due to the fact
she already lost a lot of money from previous purchases 4 times in a
row that made her didn't want to process it this time. Even though
they claimed if she almost won it, judging by the particular form that
they provided (that also included some sort of winning card that also
they provided to glue it on the form itself), but she decided to
cancel it due to she worried if we both would do this again and again,
they also would send even more of those mails infinitely per each of
the row... Well, because of this, she already lost a lot of money due
to previous 4 purchases that she did in order to win it, but
eventually, she also got a SMS from them if her grand prize just got
stalled in their place due to the fact we both didn't send it back
ASAP... I had no idea whether if this was true or not, because I also
worried if I sent that particular mail back to the company itself,
they would sent both of us even more of those mails all over again,
not rewarding the main thing itself instead which made me really
frustrated too, regardless of how many times yet how much that we both
would pay into them, so.
Well, after we both did a research about all of those products that
she bought them from, turned out if all of those items that they sell
on there were freaking cheap! For example, that kitchen mini pan set
originally costed around ONLY 5 bucks.
What a total ripoff! Anyway, there you have it for this
particular issue that recently occurred that made her lost a lot of
money from her bank account really badly... I don't know if this is
definitely the most deliberate scam that they did to both of us,
because unlike that one Instagram illegal scammer that they did to her
that occurred from almost more than a year ago, this one made her lost
a lot of money just twice as that one, even though all of those
overpriced cheap products are already in here..... Or isn't it though,
by the looks of it unlike those naughty, illegal online scammers out
there?
Okay, so... This was occurred since I decided to replace my old Samsung laptop with it. Unfortunately though, it has it's own flaws, and now it already has it's own issue that I couldn't even bother to fix it at all. I already sent it to the service place in order to fix it, but nope! Everything gone wrong with this laptop that I bought it online, especially for one of the vital parts that it should work just fine like my old Samsung does... So, without further ado with them, let's explain about why I've just embarrassed by this laptop that I bought it online.
1. General
In case you've wondering about the brand and the model of the particular laptop that I bought it online, it's just an old Dell Latitude E4310... I bought it online from one of the local online shops, and I paid around 200 bucks for it. It has the earliest version of Windows 10 Pro (2015), it has 13,3" screen size, and it has Intel Core i5 M560 processor... It also has 8 GB of RAM, and not much I can say about it. Speaking about the story about why I bought this laptop, it's because I thought I was impressed by how much the RAM that this laptop has, so which meant it would run better than my old Samsung laptop. There is also another reason about why I bought this, it's because my old Samsung laptop wouldn't do heavy things very well, especially for editing videos... Again, not much I can say about this particular laptop though, until there are few flaws that I discovered already in this laptop throughout many hours of me using it until one big problem happens to it.
2. Results
Well, what do you know... I thought this laptop would run better than my old Samsung laptop because it has a bigger RAM, but no! Apart from how old this laptop is (which was dated in 2012), there are few surprising results from this laptop. Here are my results of me using it (in terms of bunch of the software programs that I ran on this laptop's system operating itself), from the normal results until the bad results.
Web browsing on it is just fine to me. I can open the Google Chrome slightly quicker than my old Samsung laptop.
File exploring on it is also just fine, not much I can say about it.
Playing games on it isn't that great (I tested the original Plants vs. Zombies on it)... I have to download ThrottleStop in order to stop the throttles and stutters while I'm playing any games on it.
Google Earth on it seems to work just decently. Not good, but not bad either.
I also once installed BlueStacks on it, and it does open the app just decently. Even if I didn't even play any Android games on it.
Adobe Photoshop (newer version) on it does work just reasonably fine.
Adobe Premiere Pro (CC 2015), it does work but of course it has some problems while I edit videos on it every time... One of the examples is being the audio hardware interface keeps overloading at the most of the time; every time I play the edited footage on it and that message appears quite often on the events window, so I have to increase the latency in order to solve it, but nope, it doesn't work. Even the other options that I tweaked on it's own settings, but then again, nope!
Many more of the random programs (or apps), that I couldn't even tell about how well they run on this laptop since I never run them nor I run them quite often... Either they do work properly, but also they don't seem to work (usually it has usual "... [program] has stopped working" message)...
3. Flaws
It's hard to believe if this laptop has it's own flaws as well... I thought I was like, "This old laptop would work as good as the ones in my current school would be. Although the ones in my current school are completely different models, unlike this one"... Well, yeah, but since there are flaws that keeps bothering me while operating it, so... Not much additional action that I will take to them because I always sick by them, so... Anyway, here are the flaws that this laptop has, right now:
First, utterly crap battery life. I already suspected about how crap the battery life of this laptop is... For example, the battery's percentage was on 82%, but then immediately went down drastically by itself into 0% within a second. Before it got emptied like that, the battery somehow only lasted less than least 30 minutes...
It only has one USB port.
Annoying "date and time resetting"... This always occurs while the laptop itself isn't powered by either battery or the plug adapter, probably due to it doesn't have it's own built-in backup battery-ish thing like my old Samsung laptop does... It keeps resetting the date and time itself back in 2012. All I have to do against this problem is of course, I have manually set the current date and time in the BIOS settings itself... Freaking all the time when this happens!
Almost every time I turned it on from either hibernate or sleep, the display graphics driver just stopped working, but it does recover immediately by itself.
There's a little static electricity somewhere on the laptop itself, even I plugged one of the earphones into this laptop does have little static electricity as well. This always happens, especially when I plug it with a plug outlet all the time.
No 4 rubber feets on the bottom on the laptop itself, since I bought it used from online shop.
Some obscure stuffs are still present on this laptop... One example is being the obscure tray with an "EC" logo near it, don't know what does it mean. Another example is being the other obscure tray hole with a "SC" logo near it too. External sound card? If yes, no wonder why it doesn't sound good, yet it's a bit silent (in my opinion).
Since this is one of the old laptops, it will overheat quite badly if I use it too much, especially certain examples like exporting a whole video sequence from Adobe Premiere Pro, the centrifugal fan inside it runs so fast, yet it'll feel so hot around one on the sides on this laptop. I even poured a pinch of water on the part where it overheats, and it got boiled and dried just less than 30 seconds.
The speakers on it sounds not too loud, yet it only has standard HD Audio sound card from Windows itself... However, if I installed Equalizer APO on it, it does amplify the volume of it just like my old Samsung laptop (which obviously has dedicated Realtek HD Audio sound card, yet it also has SoundAlive feature too)... However, if I increase it even more on the aforementioned equalizer program itself, sometimes it overloads, especially for anything that sounds way too much bass... Even Adobe Premiere Pro that I installed on it says the audio hardware interface overload, I'm not sure if that always happens due to that, even I already seen that warning bunch of times just before I installed the Equalizer APO on it... Probably the very poor GPU that it has in order not to make it work properly? Presumably yes.
4. When the LCD screen's backlight dies... (and conclusion + extras)
Apparently, in it's peak day about when this laptop's LCD screen's backlight got stopped working, it used to work just fine like it should before that occurred... Although it used to work just fine, of course the flaws of this laptop were still present...... Until it's own LCD screen's backlight died... Yes, literally... It's own LCD screen's backlight gone wrong for some reason, it's just simply doesn't light up anymore. I could see anything on the screen with the flashlight that lights into the screen, but still, I can't have that... I already tweaked about the brightness of the laptop's LCD screen's backlight itself, even on the BIOS too, but nope! Still doesn't work! So which means, there you have it for this "new" (old) Dell laptop that I bought it online. For the additional action that I did to the laptop itself, here are two actions that I did to it:
I already brought it to the service center, closest from my old neighborhood. I asked some person in order to replace the LCD screen's backlight. Since it's one of the rarest size and models yet I would pay around 107 bucks for it, they didn't repair it due to there's no particular screen available for it's own size and model. Even they were already contacted the supplier who sells laptop's spare LCD screens, but then again, nope.
I also asked to the online seller who sells bunch of those laptops... The only thing that he can do with this laptop is of course I have to send it to him in order to repair it yet I would only pay 32 bucks for it, not selling it away to him... But, I still bothered by how guilty I did to this laptop, because I thought this laptop would work properly like what my current school has few of those laptops of the exact same brand (but different models though), but nope! It's just gone wrong by this LCD screen issue that got struck into it.
So yeah, there you have it for my experience with this "new" (old) Dell laptop that I bought online... Yeah, as if... Again, I thought this laptop would work properly like what my current school has few of those laptops of the exact same brand, but then again, nope! It's just gone wrong, and I felt so guilty about it... Right now, I simply left it without any usage at all, until I have to salvage the important parts that are left on it, such as RAM and the HDD that comes with it, so I hope I can transfer those parts into my old Samsung laptop... Speaking about my old Samsung laptop in it's current condition, I also tell about it's own current flaws as well, aside from one of it's own LCD screen's hinge got busted already. Those are:
It doesn't seem to charge it's own battery anymore. So which means, I completely force to use AC adapter in order to make it work properly.
It's still has old Windows 7 operating system, but it does work just fairly well since I activated it using third-party program that I did around 7 years ago, instead of activating it in the usual way using the product key.
Both of it's own internal speakers are busted already.
Since it only has 2 GB of RAM and weaker processor, it does have a lag while I'm doing certain multitasking stuffs. Unless I have to install certain programs in order to make it slightly better (such as CCleaner, ThrottleStop, and an old program entitled MZ RAM Booster). Obviously, no way for doing heavy stuffs, such as editing videos. It'll lag very badly if I do that, especially for playing the edited video on it. Or even on the worse cases, it'll stop the whole program entirely, yet there's no auto-save of it.
And yeah, that's what I can conclude about my bad experience with my "new" (old) Dell laptop, yet I already listed about some flaws of my old Samsung laptop as well. That's it for what I can say about this bad experience that I did to it, and hope you can pay the attention, yet you can learn the lesson about this experience that I did to it.
I know if my Plants vs. Zombies collection already has bunch of my favorite figures as for nowadays (as for late of 2018 and later), but I still miss some of my wanted figures that keeps cycling on my brain. Continued from my previous post of the exact same title, I'm sorry, our Plants vs. Zombies lovers 2... :(, it's still probably the exact same figures that I always mentioned in the previous post, and now it's still remains nothing. So, it's time to update to what's going on with me against those figures anyway, yet this is gonna be another apologize post for me with anything Plants vs. Zombies (non-series) related, which in this case, those figures that I still miss plus extras behind all of those.
Before I'm gonna tell you the reason about why I keep failing to get those figures since last 3 years, here's my Instagram post about those things:
Sebuah kiriman dibagikan oleh Ade F. (@adethefantoyguy) pada
As you can see, those 3 figures are the ones that I still miss there. Those are based from Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, both original and the sequel, although it obviously based from the sequel version of the Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare. I know if those were existed since mid-to-late of 2017 until the late of 2019, and yes, many of the YouTubers (including the guy who sent some of his figures to me back in November of 2018) reviewed them as well. In case you've wondering about what's the name of toy company who produced and distributed those figures, yes, it's another one of those from good old folks from K'NEX. I've already owned those K'NEX Plants vs. Zombies figures since 2015, and yes, I always enjoying those little Plants vs. Zombies figures until today. Along with 3 of my most beloved old Plants vs. Zombies KFC toys from May of 2013 (which those toys are always vital for my collection), those figures are also look great and legit, albeit the zombies aren't that good at all, yet there are lot of issues with each of those figures too (such as loosing parts, cheap painting, fragile parts, and so on)... Enough for the describing them in general, let's take a look at update of what's going on with me against those figures right away.
Exactly what I ranted in I'm sorry, our Plants vs. Zombies lovers 2... :(, this problem is still exists until now... I've been trying to get any of those figures in every methods, but again... failed. It also makes this problem even worse and worse, because not only the fact I still can't get those things yet until now, it's also got obstructed by other obvious things that happens since late of the last year, until this year. One, which is latest YouTube's policy. I used to comment them in each of YouTube videos of those reviews, but now, it's completely blocked for obvious reasons. Yes, they already set those videos as a kid-friendly videos! Which is good, and also bad at the same time. Good, which means no more of those trash comments that I mentioned in my post entitled Worst things that I ever done..., although it's still happens in several of YouTube videos that they didn't set them yet as a kid-friendly videos, including my YouTube channel of fans too... Of course on the other hand, bad means there's no more of me contacting those guys in order to send those extra figures that they have to me by simply requesting them. I already did few times to that one toy YouTuber who has 7 Plasma Pea figures in his 3 separate videos. One which was the one that he bought it from Toys R Us along with the other 7 K'NEX Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Series 5 blind bags that contained the other 7 figures that were bundled on that set. Unfortunately though, that figure has missing pieces, because the bag that lurked it inside had the hole on the side of the blind bag itself, which caused the other parts of the figure itself were lost already... Then, in another video by him of another complete set of K'NEX Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Series 5 blind bags that he got them from Dollar Tree, there's another Plasma Pea figure that he got in perfect condition... Lastly, in yet another video by him of K'NEX Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Series 6 blind bags, he got 5 Plasma Pea figures. I commented to him in all 3 videos that he uploaded, but he didn't understand about what I said to him in the second video, and ended up, there was no action taken to me apart from he didn't reply myself anymore in his latest videos, which is really stinks! I also tried to comment him on his latest video (the one that has 4 extra Plasma Pea figures), and nope! No action was taken, apart from he got the heart to my comment in that video. Which is odd, considering me always wanted it by commenting them in his previous two videos of those things. And then, somebody lately replied me in that video with this:
"K'NEX has lost their greatness since a few years now. They used to have great licenses theme, now they don't even have license themes.. The themes they have now is made by them which is really sad because they just lost their goodness that way..."
Exactly what he described to the toy company itself, same goes for the franchise that he likes, (which is in that case), obviously Super Mario... Again, they used to have a great license themes, but now it's completely depleting like crazy yet nothing, and there's no more chance of me getting those figures anyway... Although those figures also has a hit and miss features. Hit means exactly like what I wanted, and meanwhile for miss, obviously means they had a lot of goofs just like what I told to you before about those things that I have... So, in conclusion about this point, yeah... No more of those things because those two sub-reasons, YouTube's latest policy to those toy review videos, and K'NEX no longer producing them, which I knew it already by e-mailed the toy company itself before.
The other main reasons that causes me still can't get these figures is of course... Covid-19 pandemic. I know if this ultra extreme pandemic that strikes already on the entire world that causes many deaths isn't related to what I'm dealing with those Plants vs. Zombies figures anyway, but it affects on how much they cost on international online shops, especially e-Bay. I already saw them on the actual e-Bay, they cost reasonably cheap, but most of them obviously have quite expensive costs... But, when it comes to one of local online shops that connects to the e-Bay, they cost so darn expensive. Not much words that I can say about it, because I don't want to deplete my bank account's balance very badly due to that... Also, in case you've wondering about the aforementioned local online shop itself, yes, it does show anything about those, but they also got rid to the ones that may not ship into my country (Indonesia), which in results said: "This product was deleted by the seller", despite the fact they're still there on actual e-Bay... So, yeah... I don't bother to buy them for a moment, until there's another help by another kind person who will eventually send those missing Plants vs. Zombies figures for free to me. Even I already e-mailed to several persons already, still no action taken by any of them at all.
So, there you have it for yet another I'm sorry, our Plants vs. Zombies lovers thread. I know if I feel so sick already for not getting them as soon as possible, but eventually, if this still happens (unless I'm getting older and older as my parents, but not getting those yet), I will eventually make this again because I can't even stand it anymore. I know if those figures aren't that good quality just like the ones that I have, but whatever... I will never stop hunting those things until I actually got them in my hands... Anyway, hope you can pay the attention about this story about me and those figures that I still miss there, and thanks for reading this post.
